We came across this while evaluating aluminum wiring for the sale of a home. Walked into a room, flipped on a light, and we could hear sizzling. This perfectly illustrates the hazards of old aluminum wiring. This was an electrical fire waiting to happen. And yes, we fixed it before we left.
